Washington’s My Health My Data Act and Nevada’s consumer health data law give residents of those states specific rights over information that identifies them and relates to their health. This policy explains how NuWays MD, operated by Go2Brand LLC, handles that kind of information. We apply it to every reader, wherever they live. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
What we mean by consumer health data
Consumer health data is information linked to you that identifies your past, present or future physical or mental health, including your interest in or efforts to research or obtain health services. NuWays MD does not ask for diagnoses, medical records or medication lists. Some of what you choose to give us can still suggest a health interest, and we treat it as consumer health data.
Categories we collect
Only when you choose to provide them, we may collect:
- treatment interests, research topics and consultation questions you save in a research plan;
- budget figures and saved articles connected to a treatment you are researching;
- email interests you select, such as laser treatments, Botox and fillers, skincare or hair and scalp;
- the resource you request, such as a laser or Botox consultation checklist; and
- for a consultation request, the treatment you want to discuss, your timing and your contact and scheduling choices.
Where it comes from
Directly from you, through the forms and tools on NuWaysMD.com. When you submit a form, we also record the page it came from and any campaign labels in the link you followed.
Why we collect and use it
- to send the resource you requested or keep the plan you chose to save;
- to send emails you confirmed, matched to the interests you chose;
- to handle a consultation request you submitted, including sharing it with the practice you named if you gave permission; and
- to protect the site against spam, fraud and abuse.
We collect consumer health data with your consent, or where it is needed to provide the specific thing you asked for. We do not use it for targeted advertising.
Who we share it with
- Service providers that host the site, deliver email and manage contacts on our behalf. They process it under our instructions and may not use it for their own purposes.
- Google Analytics, which we use to measure how the site is used. It receives page-visit information, which can include which treatment guides you read, along with a cookie identifier. It does not receive what you type into our forms. Our Privacy Policy explains how to opt out.
- The practice you name. A consultation request is shared with the practice named on the form, currently All About Aesthetics in Boca Raton, Florida, only with the permission you give on that form.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
We do not have affiliates that receive consumer health data. We do not sell consumer health data, and we do not use a geofence to identify or track people near health care locations.
Your rights
You may:
- confirm whether we collect, share or sell your consumer health data, and see it;
- get a list of the third parties and affiliates with which we have shared it, along with their contact information;
- withdraw consent you gave us; and
- have us delete it, along with copies held by our service providers, except where the law requires us to keep a record.
You can also withdraw consent yourself: unsubscribe from our emails, delete a saved plan in its tool or withdraw a consultation request from its receipt. Withdrawing consent stops future use and sharing but does not undo sharing you already allowed. To use these rights, email [email protected] with the subject line “Health data request.” We may ask you to confirm that you control the email address involved. We respond within 45 days, and if we need up to 45 more days we will tell you why.
If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying with the word “Appeal” within 60 days. We will answer within 45 days and explain our decision. If your appeal is denied, you may contact the attorney general of your state; Washington residents may also file a complaint with the Washington State Office of the Attorney General.
